That’s because we've been making them for over 100 years. Since 1904, to be precise. Our first bicycle, made by the three Van den Berg brothers, immediately hit the mark. But there was a problem: back then, not everyone could cycle. So the brothers came up with the ingenious idea to offer people free cycling lessons.
It turned out to be a brilliant move. The Union brand survived the war years and, in 1966, our millionth bicycle rolled off the production line. There have been further challenges since then, including a devastating fire in 1976, but Union has remained the leading city bike brand in the Netherlands.
Union has a clear vision of what an urban bike should look like. It makes sense when you’ve been making them since 1904.
